Carbon is the diverse element that forms the base of all life. The mineral diamond is also formed of carbon making it more than just a precious gem. Diamond is the hardest of all known substances and even conducts heat. Diamonds are alive with a natural beauty displayed in the Adamas Collection of rare colored diamonds.

The gem quality of the Adamas Collection presents diamonds 10,000 times scarcer and by far more beautiful. These rare diamonds are results of the same forces of geophysical nature that conjure up regular diamonds, yet there are several reasons that certain situations create different colored jewels. Due to carbon’s tight lattice structure in diamonds, very few atoms can be added, mutated or in any way changed. With the potential for change present in only one in a million atoms, color is one of the few varied diamond properties visible to the naked eye. Temperature in the volcano of origin also plays a decisive part in deciding a diamond’s color. A difference of 100 degrees Celsius can often be enough to drastically change the color of a jewel.

In ancient Greek, “Adamas” is the word for diamond. The Adamas Collection is special for its expert mix of all the subtle factors that make a colored diamond a beautiful piece of nature. The gems in the Adamas Collection employ all the impacting factors of a diamond including clarity grade, finish, color, cut, size, proportions, symmetry, and balance of color intensity and lightness.

Every separate color of diamond demands a completely unique set of complex circumstances to be created making colored diamonds a great deal more interesting and therefore more beautiful in terms of knowledge than their colorless cousins.

Discover a Colored Diamond’s Beauty

Upon a first viewing of the stunning Adamas Collection, most comment on two things straight away. They are immediately shocked by the beauty of each individual diamond cut with finesse to maximize its cleavage characteristics, weight, and structure. Then they are instantly moved by the realization of the wide variety of potential colored refractions. In the diamond profession, hopeful jewelers often struggle to get one foot in the door to begin work and among those that do, only the most skilled, and most senior artists are afforded the opportunity to cut and burnish the natural beauty of colored diamonds.

While most are impressed just to see a random grouping of colored diamonds on display, the Adamas Collection has taken great pains in insuring that each piece properly complements the others giving you the ability to decorate any ensemble with multiple pieces of art.

Name necklaces were immensely popular in the early 1970’s and have now made a huge comeback. Popular with both the younger, and the more mature demographic, name necklaces can be found at local brick and mortar jewelry stores, or at online jewelry stores, in a wealth of styles and designs, from classic gold monogrammed name necklaces to more unconventional, sparkling initial name necklaces and decorated name pendants that are set with colorful diamonds and precious gemstones.

And to whom should we attribute this fun new jewelry trend? To Sarah Jessica Parker of course! Her character on the TV hit ‘Sex in the City’, Carrie Bradshaw, was synonymous with anything and everything stylish and glamorous. One of her most famous jewelry pieces was, in fact, the Carrie name necklace which became one of her signature looks, the trendy accessory embodying Bradshaw’s fun, funky aesthetic and style.

A Carrie necklace has since become a trendy piece of name jewelry. Carrie name necklaces are great pieces of personalized jewelry that can be found in various forms of gold and silver. The best thing about Carrie necklaces is that can be modified to include your own name to make you feel like a Hollywood star.

The Carrie necklace can even be customized with your own name!

Since its debut on the mega hit TV show, the Carrie name necklace has become one of the most popular fashion accessories in today’s jewelry market, favored by customers who want desperately to possess the stylishness and trendiness which is associated with the name Sarah Jessica Parker.

Name necklaces such as initial name necklaces, monogram name necklaces, signature name necklaces and decorated name necklaces have also become popular for their hip, fashion forward aesthetics and are being worn by customers who just want to add a little glitz and glamour to their overall look in the form of an unconventional, chic accessory such as the name necklace.

According to surveillance cameras, the trio’s most recent heist occurred on Saturday night and occurred as follows: The trio split up with two men walking in and distracting the staff with questions about diamond rings. A third man, unseen to the cameras, slipped in on his hands and knees and crawled into the customer service desk where he picked the locks, grabbed whatever was in his sight and then left. Once the third man left the store, the other two would simply walk out.

Zales employees say that this heist that happened over the weekend is the seventh of its nature, with previous heists having occurred in all over the Northeastern US and Florida. They estimate the loss to be around $400,000, almost exclusively diamond rings. As a result, the company is now offering a $5,000 reward for any information that could identify the individuals in the video.

In another unrelated heist in Delaware, bandits made off with the largest mined ruby in the world when they broke into a local jewelry store that was holding the gem for the Liberty Bell Museum in Philadelphia. That heist was estimated to have cost the owners at least 2 million in the loss of the Liberty Bell Ruby that was found in Africa over 50 years ago and was fashioned into a replica of the bell in the Philadelphia Museum.

Forty-six year-old John Greenwood has proven that the same principle is applicable to engagement rings as well.

Working hard for the money to buy a fancy engagement ring is so 1900s. That’s why Greenwood from Crieff, Perthshire decided to put a little more effort into finding the perfect ring for his now fiancée. He was determined to fashion a custom ring from gold that he would prospect himself.

For over six months Greenwood struggled through the freezing waters of rivers in the area of the Highland Boundary Fault. He spent whole days of his weekends wading through the icy water panning for gold and was well rewarded. Greenwood collected 34 grams of gold nuggets, an estimated worth of $18.5 thousand, and proposed to his girlfriend, 40 year-old Morag Shearer on Christmas day.

Shearer of course instantly replied yes upon the sight of the 22 carat ring that had been fashioned by goldsmith Grant Logan. The ring itself is also set with diamonds adding to its beauty and worth. The couple are now looking forward to setting their wedding day and John says he’s got plenty of gold leftover for both of their wedding bands.

The spectacular Tsarevna Swan diamond ring is set with over twenty five hundred cut diamonds, according to the Guinness World Book of Records.

Featuring a graceful, unique swan-like design, the stunning 18 karat white gold diamond ring was designed and created by Ukrainian Lobortas Classic Jewelry House, who are known for their spectacular and daring jewelry designs. The Tsarevna Swan diamond ring was unveiled for evaluation in 21 June, 2011. The ring is set with diamonds totaling approximately 10.48 carats, the diamonds themselves ranging 0.001-0.05 carat each. The diamonds are all G colored and are all of a high clarity grade, ranging from VVS2 to VS1, producing a high-end, high-quality diamond ring. The spectacular diamonds were supplied by the Shrenuj Group, an Indian based diamond and diamond jewelry manufacturer.

The ring itself took over five hundred man-hours to design and over three thousand to produce.

The Tsarevna Swan diamond ring is estimated at approximately one point three million dollars. Not the most expensive of diamond rings per say, but certainly an impressive piece as far as diamond set jewelry goes.

Choosing the color and setting for your dream jewel is still not enough. Before approaching to your nearest jewel or diamonds store and asking for their finest yellow diamonds, there are some ground rules and some extra information you should consider before calling yourself a Diamond expert!

You must be able to sing the 4 C’s from your sleep. The salespersons in your nearest store will go on and on about the lovely radiant you’re looking at, but perhaps you are more of a cushion type? What’s your preferred color grade – F? J? Do you wish to look at the color treated yellow diamonds or the laser drilled black diamonds? Those are just minor examples of the knowledge you would like to have before negotiating the price of your diamond.

Think ahead of the piece of jewel you are currently missing. Could you use a new pair of earrings? Do you want to surprise your wife with a new ring for your anniversary? Consider planning what metal you wish your diamond to be set in. Is it white gold? Yellow gold? Maybe it’s silver and you’ll save major money that way?

If you have bigger hands than normal, don’t think twice, go for the bigger band and larger diamond. You could even up the price of the stone by compromising on its color or clarity. Remember, don’t spend more than you planned! Buying diamonds in an irresponsible way could make you lose your shoes!

Don’t forget to consider your body perfections or imperfections to match your jewel to. If your skin is smooth and young looking, you don’t want a huge gold necklace with a bunch of huge yellow diamonds to distract people from your natural beauty. If you have a large imperfection you wish to hide from others, then you can go for the big ones!

If a new black diamonds bracelet is your pick, try it on first and make sure you could fit a finger or two between the jewel and your skin. If it’s too wide, don’t hesitate to ask the vendor for a quick and cheap resize. It shouldn’t cause much trouble, and if it does, don’t rely on them and walk away. If the bracelet is too tight, as in love with it as you may be, don’t forget to take the long run into account and keep in mind that you’ll suffer from it eventually.

Make sure your purchase is well planned and thought of, It’s not hard, and the competition out there will assist you get the best prices available. Have a wonderful time, it’s a fun experience!

If you’re out here surfing around diamond related websites, you’re probably a diamond expert like the rest of us. You know all about the 4 C’s (Carat weight, Cut, Color and Clarity). You know that color actually refers to the lack of color within the diamond, and the whiter – the more valuable it should be. D stands for the most precious and colorless diamond there is, and Z represents the least quality one. You also know the natural yellow diamonds and natural black diamonds are extremely rare and almost cannot be found.

You know that the more ideal cut of a diamond will result in better fire and brilliance reflected to you. You even know that diamonds are the only stones in the world ranked the highest for being a tough material (10 on the MOH’s scale), followed only by Sapphire which is ranked 9.

Knowing all those crucial basics, which helps purchasers estimate if the price offer they were given for their selection is decent, many people don’t take the time to learn about the different jewels and settings where the diamond is to be placed. And that is just as important!

You bought a loose diamond, but now what? You’ll just order a ring and hope to get something nice? It’s important to learn about the different settings that most of the companies will let you choose from. Ring settings are commonly set in 14 or 18 Karats of white or yellow gold. There is not a more valuable option – just a matter if you’re into white gold or yellow gold. A common pick is combining white gold with black diamonds, or yellow gold with yellow diamonds, but again, it’s up to you.

Amongst the variety of ring settings you can choose between a Bezel setting, Pave setting, Channel setting and a Bar setting. There are many more but those are the most common ones, and the store you’re buying from will be glad to show you the physical differences between them.

Also, keep in mind that resizing a ring could be a pain, wasting you additional waiting time and money. Before you order make sure you’re aware of your finger size. Whether if you’re a size 6 or a size 13, there’s no greater relief than having the ring fit you perfectly upon its arrival.

Purchasing the ring of your dreams could be a hustle, but eventually the quest will end in the best way possible. Be open minded. If your mind is set on buying a white gold band with black diamonds, but in the last minute you come across yellow diamonds that could match the band, don’t be quick to say no. Remember, diamonds are forever and you should treat them like a purchase for life.

The Hebrew word “Chai”, or life, has become a prominent symbol in Judaism, a faith that puts a tremendous amount of emphasis on the importance and value of life. While only two letters make up this word in Hebrew, each has a tremendous significance. The first letter “chet” (pronounced with a fun guttural sound in the back of the throat) is equivalent to the number eight as all Hebrew letters are also associated with numbers. The number eight is a lucky symbol in Judaism as it represents a lofty type of existence above the seven days of creation. Eight also represents infinity or the infinite and thus relates to the Creator and bringer of life. It is also the root of the first woman’s name, Eve or Chava in Hebrew, who brought life.

The second letter, “Yud” is the only letter in Hebrew that hangs loftily in the air, taking on the appearance of an apostrophe. Although small in stature this letter is considered one of the most powerful according to Jewish mysticism or Kabbalah. The letter “Yud” also is said to look like the flame of a Shabbat, or Jewish Sabbath, candle. Shabbat is celebrated every week from Friday evening until three stars can be seen on Saturday night. This special time honors the Creator’s day of rest and is a time when family and friends get together to learn, pray and eat a lot of delicious foods. Shabbat is described as a time above time, in that everything done during the week is refrained from on this special day, such as work, watching television and cooking. Instead this day is a day for spiritual activity and thoughts, a time for true quality time with the family. The “Yud” represents the number ten according to gematria, or Hebrew code where each letter represents a number. The number ten also comes up many times throughout the Torah. For example: The Ten Commandments and the Ten Utterances which created the world.

“Chet” and “Yud” together when added then equal the number eighteen a number of high significance as the word and number represent life. To this day presents and charity are typically given in the amount or multiples of “18″ to ensure that every gift is imbued with the ultimate gift of life. The “Chai” symbol therefore always makes the perfect present for any age or occasion, men and women.

Quick. Fast. Instant. These are what people live for in today’s world. It’s a reality we’re slowly but surely getting used to. When we want to know about something, we simply go online and “Google” it. It surely is a lot faster than going to the library or looking for books at the book store.

Unfortunately, most of us no longer have the time (nor the attention span) to read paragraphs upon paragraphs of information. This is the very reason that gave rise to what we know now as an infograph, which is short for “informative graphics”. Pretty much like road signs, infographs give you all the information you need in just one look.

Now if you were to look for information about diamonds, the words Cut, Color, Clarity and most especially Carat are sure to come up. Also popularly known as “The 4 C’s”, these are qualities which largely determine the price of a diamond. There’s loads of information about these online, a lot of article which are pretty accurate, but will take a bit of effort on your part to understand.

For the convenience of novice diamond buyers everywhere, Brilliance.com has come up with an infograph about the 4 C’s of Diamonds. This is the fastest and easiest way for anyone to learn what a diamond’s “cut”, “color”, “clarity” and “carat” is. Also, since these 4 qualities are measured by visual inspection, it will no doubt be more effective to present it using illustrations rather than words.

The infograph below entitled “The 4 C’s Of Diamonds” is brought to you by Brilliance.com, a retailer of loose diamonds, diamond engagement rings and other fine jewelry. With over 20 years in the gem and jewelry industry, Brilliance is also an accredited partner of the Better Business Bureau and a proud supporter of Earthworks’ No To Dirty Gold campaign.
It can literally save you hours of work, and a good deal of money and stress. By using an online wedding directory, you will find everything you need in one place, and that can make life easier.

First and foremost, an online wedding directory will help you step by step through your wedding planning and help you with wedding ideas. A good online wedding directory will have each section laid out for you, from planning the engagement party to honeymoon travel destinations.

When you begin your wedding planning, find an online wedding directory that covers your area or the destination area of your wedding. You want to find local professionals to help you on your big day, so that there is not a lot of travel time involved—you do not want anyone stuck on the interstate while you are trying to say your ‘I dos’.

After you have found your online wedding directory, you will see that there are multiple headings, and each heading will link you to the next page. These headings, such as ‘florists’, ‘caterers’, ‘limos’, etc, will take you to a page listing all of the professionals in your area, in that industry. Then, you can link directly to each business’s web page, and find their contact information. Sometimes, these wedding directories will even offer discounts for bridal packages.

The online wedding directory has everything you need, all in one place. Simply click through from page to page, topic to topic, and plan your entire wedding—saving you vast amounts of time and perhaps even money, if discounts are offered!

Another great way that an online wedding directory can save you time is through the forums offered. Here, in the forums, brides can chat with other brides to be or industry professionals and have their pressing wedding planning questions answered. They can seek out advice or glean tips on what to do, where to go, and who to contact. Brides can also share cost saving tips here.

An online wedding directory often has blog or article posts, keeping brides current on trends in weddings, favors, and even hairstyles or desserts. This can also save you a lot of legwork, since you will be on top of trends and know what to look for when planning.

Essentially, an online wedding directory is the be all and end all of wedding planning! Go there first, and save yourself a lot of time and stress as you plan your perfect wedding day!
